MINDY’S BIO

Mindy Anderson Taylor has enjoyed performing since she was a child.  Mindy studied opera in the great state of Texas and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Houston, Moore’s School of Music.  Most recently, Mindy performed the role of “Maria” in the Herriman, UT Outdoor Theatre’s production of The Sound of Music.   Some of her favorite roles from the past include “Kim” in Bye Bye Birdie, “Nanette” in No, No Nanette, and “Chava” in Fiddler on the Roof.  Her credits also include “Despina” in Cosi fan Tutte, “Seed” in The Garden, and “Lucy Mack” in Joseph Smith, The Prophet.

Mindy especially enjoys composing and performing for firesides (sacred musical presentations), recitals and concerts with fellow composer and pianist, Julie Ann Bennett. Recently, they were thrilled to perform again onstage at the LDS Conference Center Theatre, and enjoyed a chance perform as part of a meeting for an LDS “Addiction Recovery Program Conference” that was broadcast nationwide. But, Mindy’s favorite “performances” occur at home with husband ad their three little girls ages 8, 5 & 3 years, with a baby boy on the way.
