Fireside Introductions

Singer and Songwriter, Mindy Taylor has been performing since she was a child. She studied vocal performance in the great state of Texas and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music from the University of Houston, Moore’s School of Music, where she performed leading roles in many operas and broadway musicals. Most recently, Mindy performed the role of “Maria” in the Herriman, UT Outdoor Theatre’s production of The Sound of Music. She enjoys composing music and performing sacred firesides, recitals and concerts with fellow composer and pianist, Julie Ann Bennett. But, Mindy’s favorite “performances” occur at home with husband and their three little girls ages 8, 5 & 3 years with a baby boy on the way.

Mindy was thrilled to start collaborating with Julie Ann Bennett six years ago when they met in New York, and the two are currently working together to produce their first album, due out the Summer of 2010. Julie Ann has been composing music since high school, with formal music training on piano and the violin. Composition became more a part of Julie Ann’s life during her studies in music at Brigham Young University. Julie Ann loves being a Mom and she currently resides in Provo, Utah with her three little boys, ages 8, 5, and 3 years.
